Genevieve Marie (“Jovie”) is the first baby for our very good friends, Shane & Jocelyn. They were some of the very first people we met when we arrived to Colorado Springs and have remained among our closest friends. We’ve enjoyed doing portraits for them a handful of times, but these opportunities to be such an amazing part of their growing family is the biggest honor. We have loved watching them become parents! I have to laugh (lovingly) at how much Shane has changed. When we first had Natalie, Shane wasn’t quite sure what to do with this little baby. One of his first times with her, he was holding her with locked arms about 2 feet away from him where she was dangling while being held under the arms. Being held this precariously, Natalie was naturally fussing. Shane was like, “See, she doesn’t like me…” Now fast forward to when they are now expecting a baby…Shane was out this Spring in the yard playing with Natalie and letting her put flowers from our backyard in his hair. What a change! And we love it. Little Jovie certainly is blessed to have two adoring parents who know how special she is! Enjoy the video of all her newborn portraits!<\/p>\n
