Alaney counts herself among the newest graduating class at Cheyenne Mountain High School. She’s an accomplished musician, playing flute in the symphonic and wind ensembles. She’s also an avid reader and has years of dance experience. These past two years of high school, she’s focused on music and academics. While she describes herself as a “closet introvert,” she is caring, intelligent, and responsible – all qualities that will serve her well as she pursues a career as a Nurse Practitioner.
Prior to becoming her photographer for senior portraits, our families have connections both through another Cheyenne Mountain High School client family and through Adventures Out West. We’ve had such fun photographing commercial images for this company and family portraits for the owner. Alaney has the adventurous job working on their zipline experience in the Manitou Springs area of Colorado Springs.
For her high school senior portraits, she matched well with our one-hour Senior Session and loved Red Rock Canyon as the setting for her photography. Red Rock Canyon boasts southern Colorado landscape without the same crowds of places most popular in town. This quieter location has great variety from fields and fences to trees and red rock formations, and when we have enough moisture, a quarry. For seniors and families looking for a session that stays active and provides a walking-tour, this is a fantastic location for an outdoor photography session!
We’re excited to share favorites from her senior portraits, and we wish her our best with all the next steps she takes!
