The Lees | Family Photography Colorado Springs

The Lee Family first connected with us last year when it was the senior year for their oldest daughter. She’s off to college in the fall, so a summer family session was perfect timing to capture gorgeous portraits to forever remember the “home years” with all the kids together full-time at home.

Summer sessions in Cheyenne CaƱon are perfect for vibrant green tones, especially after a rain. This family worked especially hard to create the final family portrait standing in the midst of the streams, and we know they will love the wall piece featuring that portrait in the home. Memories are made even during the photography sessions, and our goal is for every family portrait to also bring to mind many favorite memories from the season in life when the portrait was made. We are blessed to create legacy and preserve moments in the history of each family we photograph.

We are so appreciative of the loyalty of families like the Lees, and we certainly look forward to the next round of senior portraits in just a couple years!

Alexis | Teen Portraits

What a special portrait session! Our kids spent some of their most precious years of childhood with Alexis, and we have such fond memories of those years with slamming doors as the kids played in the yard and jumped from one home to the other in the summer.

Clearly time is passing (faster than any of us parents want to admit!) and teen sessions are a perfect celebration of the important years between childhood and high school graduation – these are years of many memories that deserve to be preserved.

We are thrilled to share favorites from Alexis’ recent portrait session and hope when she enjoys these finished pieces featuring her favorites in her home that she will always remember how strong and beautiful and loved she is.

Ben | Vista Ridge High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2021

We’ve had so much fun reconnecting with this family after first meeting them for their oldest’s senior portraits in 2018. As we always recognize, it’s our highest compliment to receive return business from a family.

Ben is a talented high school senior who has excelled in the performing arts throughout his years at Vista Ridge High School. He’s performed with Show Choir and Theater as well as the Marching Band. His musical skills are vast and include flute, piano, harp, clarinet, and percussion. Singing remains a top favorite, and he’s hoping to pursue a career in music performance with an emphasis on vocals. In addition to all his musicianship, he’s also a natural leader, serving as the Drum Major for Marching Band and leader of the Swing Dancing Club.

Outside of school and all of his performing arts, Ben also volunteers at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. His favorite animals there include the giraffes and lions. With his service to the zoo, he was able to receive special permission to create senior portraits on property! His conservatory served as a great and unique setting for the second portion of his overall photography.

Congratulations, Ben, on your many accomplishments! We’ve loved creating these senior portraits to celebrate these high school years and always bring to mind favorite memories from this time in your life.

Viviana | Discovery Canyon High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2021

Vivi is about to count herself among DCC’s newest graduates! This social, quirky, free-spirited, and spontaneous high school senior loves being around people, enjoys rainy days, and 90’s music is one of her favorite genres within a broad range of favorite music. She enjoys traveling and adventuring to new places. She’s played volleyball in the past. She plays guitar and loves her horses and dogs.

Viviana was excited to feature her city-girl side and colorful backgrounds mixed with weathered buildings and textures. The urban settings of Old Colorado City were a perfect fit for the location of her senior photography.

As she looks ahead to her next steps, she’s filled with confidence and ready to pursue business studies toward a career in business. Her time in the Future Business Leaders of America and on the debate team will serve her well as she takes these exciting next steps toward her future.

Congratulations, Viviana!!

Emily | Pine Creek High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2021

Emily is artistic and sporty with well-rounded interests. On the creative side, she has passion for film-making and broadcasting. She loves being behind the camera but has also enjoyed acting on the stage. She’s played violin in the past and enjoys painting in her free time. On her sporty side, Emily loved gymnastics and competitive cheer. She has competed on track teams with shot put and discus. Basketball has been her primary sport for her high school years.

Emily’s high school years began in Virginia and finished here in Colorado Springs. She enjoyed an urban setting for her senior pictures and featured her love for film and basketball in some of her portraits.

As Emily approaches graduation, she’s thrilled to be headed to film school in the fall. She’d love to have opportunities to act and perform, but she’s ideally aspiring to directing. Our best to you, Emily!
