We are Jonathan and Lindsay...a husband and wife team that has expanded to include our daughter, Natalie, and our son, Tyler. We have been serving the Colorado Springs and Front Range areas since moving from St. Louis in 2006.
Our photography business reflects much of ourselves. We love people, and it's such a blessing to meet and serve our couples and families and be invited into incredibly special moments in their lives. We love that we have clients that have become friends and friends that have become clients. We love the outdoors, and the majority of our sessions happen in God's studio...the beautiful natural places surrounding us. We love to travel, and whether it's traveling for a job or for ourselves, we love bringing our love for photography and capturing our memories in new places. God has truly blessed us.
Our lives forever changed in October 2015 with the discovery of brain cancer in our son, Tyler. We could not be more proud of his battle - he exuded joy, positivity, strength, courage, and a faith beyond his years. During the year of battling cancer, Tyler initially finished a first treatment plan of chemotherapy and 30 radiation treatments. We thought we were done with cancer in May of 2016. Just four, short weeks later, a new set of symptoms brought the discovery of new tumors on Tyler's spine. We spent the summer in the hospital, recovering from emergency spinal surgery, receiving rehabiliation services and education for the waist-down paralysis, and entering a new and very scary treatment plan. We were able to come home for most of August, and Tyler started first grade in his wheelchair. A smile was always on his face; he loved life and lived big. In September 2016, scans revealed what we already feared - the cancer had returned to his brain. We were out of treatment options. We came home and enjoyed two more really special and wonderful weeks before he slipped into a coma. God chose to heal him with a perfect, eternal healing, and on October 7th, 2016, he claimed his victory over cancer. We miss him terribly. Yet we move forward with hope and in the confidence that we will see him again.
Our family's journey has brought even more depth to the importance of the photography we provide to each of our client families. People are precious; our relationships, milestones, and memories are worth capturing. None of us know the number of days we have together in this life, and it is the photographs we have to connect us with our loved ones, both those still here to hug and hold and those we miss dearly. We are honored to invest our days creating legacy for families and to know that what we do will outlive us. Our photography serves both the present and the future generations to come.

We were honored to capture these precious family portraits for the Adkins Families! These portraits capture such a sweet time in the life of their family and so many special moments from these early years of their first two granddaughters.
Family portraits are always special for us to create because we understand the power they hold for capturing memories and telling the story of that season in the life of a family. Moments are fleeting; portraits last forever.
As we wrap up the blog features for our Class of 2020 seniors, we are certainly excited to feature Genevieve! She’s a natural leader with strong academic strength as an AP Honors Scholar and a passion for service.
During her time at Pine Creek High School, she was heavily involved in a variety of activities. She served as Commander on the Drill Team and led girls’ Color Guard. She served as the Drill Commander for the unarmed exhibitions squad and competed at the varsity level. She was inducted into the Kitty Hawk Honor Society and Civil Air Patrol and served in leadership roles in both organizations. She was a dedicated member of the D20 Jr. ROTC.
This Spring, Genevieve received one of the esteemed recommendations from Congressman Lamborn to the United States Air Force Academy. We were so excited to see her recommendation, though it certainly did not surprise us that she earned it! As she follows her dreams to serve in the military, she’s planning to pursue studies in aerospace engineering. She would love a career in aviation or space operations. This girl is going places!
Congratulations, Genevieve, on so many accomplishments to be proud of and to propel you into your next chapters in life. We know you’re ready to take on the world with passion and heart.
About this time every year, we’re deep into photographing the next senior class yet still have a few more seniors to feature who are now recent graduates. Tyler is one of those, and we certainly did not want his session feature to be missed.
Tyler is athletic, friendly, and down-to-earth. He plays both football and baseball, and baseball is the sport that he loves best. His skills have seen him in a variety of positions from pitcher to third baseman to outfield.
Tyler loves being outdoors in the mountains – you’ll often find him hiking and camping. Our areas around Mount Herman and Raspberry Mountain are top favorite trails to explore in our area. We loved providing a unique session setting to create Tyler’s senior portraits on a much-loved trail that holds many memories for him. Jon loved experiencing a fresh location that we later hiked as a family!
As Tyler looks ahead to college, he’s entering fire science studies that will prepare him for a career in fire fighting. With his love for the outdoors, he’s hoping to specifically fight forest fires. We loved being included in his small gathering to celebrate his graduation and also seeing him for our cap and gown event we held in late May.
Congratulations, Tyler! We’ve loved getting to know you and your family and wish you our best as your next steps unfold!

It’s been such a treat to see Daucin’s family back with us after 8 years since we were last blessed to photograph for them!
Daucin is an accomplished athlete and competed on football teams for many of his years. During the last two years of high school, he served as the quarterback for Liberty’s team.
When not on the football field, you can find him hiking, hanging out with friends playing favorite games like checkers and chess, or enjoying a movie. He’s also a fan of Dutch Bros. and sees the potential to invest in a franchise one day. Regardless of whether it’s that company or another, Daucin plans a career in marketing and knows his years in DECA will benefit him greatly.
Congratulations, Daucin, on your graduation! May these portraits celebrate your years in high school and be a gift of memories to your whole family. Our best to you as your next steps unfold!
We loved seeing Jared’s family again! We’ve photographed senior portraits for his two older sisters, and this winter was the time for Jared’s turn.
Jared has been active in taekwondo for years and also active in church, most notably in Awana. He’s accomplished academically and received one of the coveted nominations to the Air Force Academy from Congressman Lamborn.
For his high school senior photography, Jared wove storytelling imagery for his activities into his session, all captured at Garden of the Gods. We love that he brought formal attire to show the wide range of looks from casual to formal. We’re excited to share our favorites from his winter session!
Congratulations, Jared! We know your family is incredibly proud of your accomplishments and your strong character. Our best to you as these new chapters unfold for your life!
