Sarah | Destination: Colorado Springs | High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2017

Sarah is a quiet, yet thoughtful and kind, high school senior who’s currently living life in Japan with her parents as her family serves in the military. While here in Colorado Springs to meet her brand new nephew, we had a great time photographing her senior portraits. Each season we photograph at least a handful of seniors who live out of state, and Sarah clearly wins the prize for traveling the farthest for her photography!

She loves reading and hanging out in coffee shops, traveling, and she’s loyal to her closest friends. Her faith is an important part of her life. Sarah loves city life, and with her bend toward cityscapes and urban settings, we matched her to Manitou Springs for the outdoor portion of her photography.  Her family also added a mini session indoors for a completely different look. For a high school senior who often shies away from pictures, she’s quite photogenic and has beautiful portraits to celebrate this exciting time in life!  It’s an honor to have served this family and capture priceless senior portraits for them.

Sarah’s mom shared this in an email after their View & Choose appointment: “Wow! Just amazing pictures. You two are wonderful to work with and we so appreciate you working so quickly so that we could order before we went home. Thanks again for an amazing experience.”

Newborn Micah | Colorado Springs Baby Photography

Newborn babies are the best! We were honored to photograph baby Micah’s very first portraits, and it was incredibly special since Micah’s grandmother and aunt from Japan were able to be here in Colorado for his birth and first couple weeks of life. Micah’s family lives here in Colorado Springs, and his dad’s family is serving the military in Japan. You can imagine how special the time is together when there’s an ocean of distance between the families.

These precious early moments are priceless and there is something so special and intimate captured between the parents and this new life held in their hands. We’re invited to watch a couple become a family and celebrate with them the love awakened by this little baby. Jon and I are privileged to create legacy for families. It’s such an honor.

Brianna | St. Mary’s High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2017

Brianna is one of our brave high school seniors who embraced a crisp, snowy session in winter.  We love these photography sessions with such a unique look from wintery weather. Brianna describes herself as quirky, enthusiastic, serious, yet fun and funny. She loves reading, Netflix (don’t we all love Netflix??), and hanging out with her friends. Her future plans include college, and she’s interested in a chemistry degree that would lead to a career as a pharmacist.

Colorado Springs Family Portraits at Garden of the Gods

The Graham Family is enjoying their first year here in Colorado Springs.  They serve our country’s military, and it was a treat to photograph their first family portraits! We love Garden of the Gods year-round, but especially in these winter months, it’s beautiful even when the rest of the city shows the effects of the season. It’s also our favorite location when family’s want to feature iconic views of our city in their photography. We primarily photograph outdoor sessions, and while you’s rightly expect the months of June through November to be busiest, we absolutely photograph outdoors year-round.

With a new deployment just beginning, we know these family portraits will help the family feel close, even when the miles are between them. We love the closeness, laughter, and fun-loving togetherness shared in their family and captured in their pictures.

Jon and I are so blessed to be in the business of family legacy.

Erin | Cheyenne Mountain High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2017

Erin is a vivacious, free-spirited high school senior at Cheyenne Mountain High School.  She plays saxophone with the band and competes on the field hockey team.  Outside of school, she loves hiking and English horseback riding.  For her senior portraits, Erin wanted to focus on great portraits of her in natural settings with some great rocks and water and stone walls.  Her preferences led us to match her to the location of Cheyenne Cañon.  It was a great fit, and her senior portraits showcase her natural beauty in gorgeous settings in the canyon.  Enjoy our favorites from her photography session.
