Destiny | Pine Creek High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2019

Destiny has an easygoing personality with a refreshing bold and quirky side to her! She’s an avid reader, loves being in the sunshine, and enjoys rap music. She adores animals and has worked with rescue groups and provides a foster home to animals too.

Destiny was excited for an urban setting for her senior portraits and matched well for Old Colorado City. That locations offers an eclectic variety of graffiti, weathered metal and wood textures, brick, and fun colors.

As Destiny looks ahead to her next steps, she plans to study psychology and is keeping open options ranging from clinical work to using those studies to benefit the police department. Our best to you, Destiny with your next steps!

Callan | Castle View High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2019

Callan is an intelligent and outgoing high school senior who plans to pursue a career in aerospace engineering. Aside from excelling in academics, he’s also Team Captain for the Castle View High School Climbing Team. The team recently competed in State. He climbs both indoors and outdoors, and when outdoors, favorite places include Castlewood Canyon and Lincoln Gulch. He also loves hiking, camping, fishing, and skiing. Callan’s other love is his truck, and he’s proud of the improvements he’s done to it.

His family chose our one-hour Senior Session and loved Garden of the Gods as their location. That setting offers fantastic rock formations, big views of the mountains, and the perfect spot to create the silhouettes Jon loves to photograph. Jon enjoyed creating portraits that not only capture Callan but that also tell the story of his truck and his climbing. It was a great setting for this active, outdoorsy high school senior.

Callan – may you enjoy all of these final weeks of high school and the celebrations of your accomplishments. We wish you our best with all your next steps!

Skyler | Vista Ridge High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2019

Skyler describes herself as an independent thinker with a strong will who’s quite determined when she cares about something. She has a strong artistic side and enjoys painting, drawing, photography, and creating across a variety of mediums. Her art teacher has been instrumental in shaping her craft and encouraging her to pursue creative career paths. Along those encouragements, Skyler plans to become a tattoo artist and will have an apprenticeship as the next step for her.

Skyler chose our two-hour Senior Experience for her high school senior pictures. Her session began in the downtown area at a colorful graffiti mural wall and then explored some of the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. She ended in Monument Valley Park to bring in some of the natural colors of early fall. We love how colorful the settings of her portraits – it just seems so fitting for this artsy, creative girl!

Austin & Clairelise | Wedding Photography at Briarhurst Manor, Colorado Springs | 10.14.2018

This was a truly special wedding day. We have known Clairelise since first meeting her family when she was a high school senior and chose us for her senior portraits. Since that time, we have photographed her younger sister’s senior portraits and family portraits. Their family session was one of our favorite snow sessions we’ve gotten to do over the years, so when it started SNOWING on their October wedding day, it just seemed so fitting!

Austin & Clairelise are high school sweethearts who first met through church. As their relationship together grew closer over the years, they also helped each other grow deeper in their individual and shared faith. Their relationship has also created strong friendship between each of their families. When Austin proposed, he re-created their first date, and after she said “yes!” they invited their families to celebrate with them.

We love that they embraced the day God gave them for their wedding, and joy shone through all of their moments. We were with them for their ceremony – yes, still outdoors! – and for time right after that for all the family, wedding party, and bride and groom portraits. Their ceremony was faith-full, beautiful, authentic, and full of laughter and deep commitment. Austin’s groomsmen clearly had a great time “finding” the rings for the ring exchange as you’ll see in the portraits below! Clairelise was simply radiant. We made the most of our time with them, and Jon captured absolutely magical and breathtaking portraits for them to treasure forever.

Clairelise & Austin, we are so honored to have been invited to such a special day as you became husband and wife. We see genuine love for Jesus in both of you, and as we have seen in our own marriage, He is the One who will faithfully grow your marriage and sustain it. Thank you for being Light and Love to each other and to those around you.

Congratulations!!!
