Connor | Destination: Colorado Springs High School Senior Portraits | Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning | Class of 2019

Connor’s family lives outside of the Colorado Springs area, yet based on a referral from one of our client families, traveled to our area to create Connor’s senior portraits. His years at high school have him graduating from a school with a neat partnership with Outward Bound and with a philosophy that encourages student-directed, hands-on learning. As you might imagine from the school’s partnership with Outward Bound, Connor loves the outdoors. Among favorite activities are hiking, rock climbing, and camping. When not adventuring on his own two feet, Connor loves his Jeep and riding his Triumph motorcycle. When he graduates, Connor plans on a career with the US Forest Service or with Colorado State Parks.

Connor loved our multi-hour Senior Experience session and chose Old Colorado City and the Gold Camp Road areas for his session locations. We’re excited to feature some of our favorites from a great high school senior photography session. Connor’s kicking off our push in the slower season for the Class of 2019’s blog features!

The Pace Family | Family Portraits at Red Rock Canyon

Wow! Busy season has been BUSY! It’s hard to believe how long it’s been since our last post, so as we begin entering our less busy season, we’ll be catching up on some of the fantastic photography sessions we have been photographing in 2018!

The Pace Family has been wonderful to see back with us after their first session in 2014. While they seem to land some cooler temperatures for their family session days, Jon creates beautiful outdoor portraits while embracing a wide variety of Colorado weather, skies, and temperatures.

We’ve said it before, yet it continues to ring true: our very best compliment is a family who returns to us and continues to entrust their professional photography to us. It is such an honor to create lasting legacy for families and reconnect throughout the milestones and moments for a family. We are thankful for the opportunity to reconnect with the Pace Family, and we love that it’ll be next summer that we see them again…their oldest will be a high school senior in the Class of 2020, so senior portraits are just around the corner!

Beautiful family. Beautiful photographs.

Brent & Lana | Wedding Photography at Garden of the Gods

Brent and Lana had a simple marriage elopement back in their home state of Pennsylvania and recently traveled to Colorado Springs to have a recommitment ceremony and stunning portraits with the mountain backdrops. They had an absolutely perfect Colorado evening for their photography, and Garden of the Gods is one of the most scenic places in our city. They had a fabulous time with Jon during their session and created incredibly special memories. We are so excited for them to enjoy their canvas art collection and album as their legacy keepsakes from their time in Colorado. Enjoy our favorites from their photography session!

Congratulations, Brent & Lana – we trust these portraits will be treasured for years to come!

Naila | Liberty High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2019

Senior Season for the Class of 2019 has been in full swing since mid-summer, so it’s about time we kick off our features for this awesome new group of SENIORS!

Naila is a beautiful, talented senior with a quiet and serious side. She enjoys having fun and adores her dog, Masau. She’s a percussionist with both Liberty’s marching and symphonic bands. She also enjoys drawing in her free time. Once she completes high school and counts herself as a graduate, she plans on pursuing a biology degree as the next step in a career in veterinary medicine.

Naila matched well with our one-hour session, and her portraits were created in one of our newest settings for one-hour sessions: Gold Camp Road. We’ve been getting lots of requests for rugged, forested scenes that showcase the mountains, and this location has been perfect for those scenic requests. Enjoy our favorites from a great one-hour Senior Session!

Gracie | Woodland Park High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2018

With the Class of 2019 senior portrait season well underway, there are a couple more Class of 2018 seniors we gotta feature before we switch our blogging to the incoming senior class. Gracie is certainly one of those!

Gracie is a smart, hard-working, “Southern Girl” who excels in volleyball. Over the years she has competed with both her school team and Team Colorado. She’ll be continuing to play competitive volleyball for her college team while pursuing a degree in Nursing. Gracie loves being outdoors hiking and enjoys photography. She also paints and loves the arts. She matched well with our one-hour Senior Session and loved Cheyenne Cañon as the setting for her photography. She’d had portraits done earlier in her senior year by other photographers, but her mom just hadn’t fallen in love with them. When she was referred to us, she booked a session in hopes of creating portraits she would love. At the View & Choose ordering appointment, every family experiences their first look of their finalized session portraits with an opening slideshow. I noticed tears in mom’s eyes at the end of the slideshow. Jon had captured Gracie in the way mom needed and wanted. What a joy and an honor to give this family portraits that truly capture their daughter.

Gracie, we’re excited to post a few favorites from your senior portraits. May these forever celebrate your high school years and your many accomplishments. We wish you our best as your next steps in life unfold!
