The Brown Family | Colorado Springs Family Portraits in Cheyenne Canon

Happy July!  Where in the world did the month of June go??  We still have a handful of great high school senior sessions to feature from the Class of 2015; however, this recent family portraits session in Cheyenne Canon has such sweet pictures to share!  The flowers around the base of the canyon are beautiful this time of year, and June always has vibrant green colors.  The Brown Family serves in the military and has lived here for a little over two years.  While here in Colorado, they love spending time together hiking.  We’re hoping after seeing some of Cheyenne Canon during their photography session that they return to explore the fantastic trails there.  Some of our own favorite hiking trails are in this area.  Their adorable little daughter will bring a smile to your face!

Kelsie | Coronado High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2015

Kelsie’s enjoying these first weeks as a graduate of Coronado High School!  This smiley, beautiful, and quiet graduate plans to pursue a career in early childhood education.  She’s been a cheerleader in the past.  Kelsie loves to laugh and shares a close relationship with her mom.  She chose Garden of the Gods for her senior portraits session as she loves the tall grasses, red rocks, and wanted portraits that featured Pikes Peak.  We’re excited to share portraits from her session last August when the sunflowers were in full bloom.  With as much rain as we’ve been enjoying lately, this is a fun session to post now since the sun glows vibrantly in many of her portraits.

David | Pine Creek High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2015

David is one of Pine Creek High School’s most recent graduates, and we loved having his family back with us after photographing his older brother’s senior pictures a couple years ago.  He loves skiing and baseball, and we were able to feature both of those “loves” during his session in the beautiful and lush Cheyenne Canon.  We love photographing photography sessions in Cheyenne Canon for the water features, bridges, and vibrant green colors there.  It’s such a contrast to the drier Southern Colorado landscape prominent in most of the other locations in our city, so Cheyenne Canon is a perfect consideration for families who’ve already done a session in places like Garden of the Gods or Red Rock Canyon, or in this case, for David who chose a location completely different from his older brother.  David’s next steps include college where he plans to study math and business.  Best wishes, David, with all that lies ahead for you!

Spring Mini-Sessions | Family Photography at Red Rock Canyon

We’re trying a little something new this year – a handful of opportunities for mini-sessions at some of our favorite places in Colorado Springs.  We wanted to share a handful of highlights from the mini-session day at Red Rock Canyon.  These sessions are 30-min in length and minimize travel from one spot to another at the featured location.  These sessions are perfect for all families yet are especially well-suited for families with young children whose attention span might do better with a shorter session.  These sessions still allow for nice variety with time to do different groupings within each family.  What’s so fun about these sessions is the individuality to every family’s portraits.  Even though each mini-session on a given day uses the same overall area within that location, each family chooses different colors and styles for their attire and has unique personalities that shine in the portraits.  From each of the highlighted sessions, you’ll see families who shared fun, laughter, and togetherness.  And each of these families made new memories during their session.  Should you be interested in booking one of our few remaining spots left for our family portraits mini-session specials this summer, simply contact our studio at 719-291-9798.  We’d love to have you with us for this or one of our full one-hour sessions!

Abigail | Lewis Palmer High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2015

Abigail is one of Lewis Palmer High School’s most recent graduates, and we know she’s excited to pursue a career in environmental science.  She’s happy, creative, and adventurous and loves fall colors, sunsets, and Colorado scenery.  She loves drawing and painting and especially loves hiking to the waterfalls in Palmer Lake.  Her family spent most of their time in the Woodland Park area and only recently made Monument, Colorado “home.”   Abigail chose our one-hour Senior Session option with Red Rock Canyon as her location for her senior pictures.  We love how her red hair compliments the golden tones of the grasses when she did her senior photography session and “pops” in the green grasses.  Her creativity and artistic nature came through with patterns & bright colors in her outfits and fun images at the end of her session with glitter!
