Kaden | 6 month baby portraits

Kaden is growing up fast, though he still has a ways to go to have hair on that head! His family had just moved into a new home, and we were amazed at how much “moving in” they had accomplished in so little time! We had to work really hard for these smiles, but it’s always worth the extra effort! Enjoy these favorites…

Daddy can get me to smile!

Anya | Liberty High School Class of 2011 Senior Portraits

Anya’s session began during a HUGE lightening/thunder/rain storm…one of those where you believe that we definitely are the 3rd most likely county in the country to get struck by lightening… So, we revamped slightly and got to start her session inside the Fine Arts Center. By the time we finished some modern images there, the storm had passed, and we had beautiful weather for the rest of the session! Anya gave us a “first” by bringing her pet cat for her pictures. We’ve seen lots of dogs and even tropical birds, but this was a first for a cat outdoors! Her kitten is so small that she slipped out of the leash she was on, but thankfully, didn’t get far. We visited Monument Valley Park, Downtown, Old Colorado City, and the Garden of the Gods area for her session. Here are some favorites!

We captured Brittany’s portraits in Old Colorado City and Bear Creek Park. Fun places to explore, and it was a beautiful evening for her session. Here are favorites from her session…

Fall Photography Class | Jonathan Betz Workshops

It’s time to start signing up for our Fall Photography Workshop! This class meets in our gallery once a week for 6 weeks in the fall (each class lasts approx 2-2 1/2 hours), with an anticipated start late September or early October, depending on participants’ schedules and sign ups. The class is limited to 12 participants. Exact day/time for the weekly class is determined by participants’ schedules. This fall class covers the foundations of photography and teaches participants how to see and use light and use manual settings on their cameras. Each class combines instructional teaching with practical application and plenty of opportunities for questions. Assignments following each class provide opportunities to practice the concepts and receive feedback the following week from both Jon and the other class participants. It’s perfect for anyone wanting to take their photography to the next level and for aspiring photographers. The final class touches on foundations for structuring a photography business.

Please contact us at 719-291-9798 or jon@jonathanbetz.com for more information and to receive the syllabus and registration information. We hope to see YOU!
