Finn at 9 months | Baby Portraits

Finn is already over 9 months old and has such a contagious smile. He has a very active older brother, so it’s not surprising that he’s walking already!! Every time his mom, Angie, is here to see pictures, we get to talking, and I feel like we have this total connection with parenting since her kids are so close in age to ours. I get this feeling that we both live in a similar chaos…it’s joyful and fun, but also exhausting most of the time! But I do have to say that I hope my Tyler takes all the time he wants to transition to walking. I’m currently adjusting to his recent gain from normal crawling to hyper-speed crawling. It seems like he can move 25 feet in no time at all. And considering that he eats more than I do for some of his meals, he obviously is using up lots of energy throughout his day!

Enjoy some favorites from Finn’s 9 month session…

Fitzgerald at 3 months | Baby Portraits

Fitzgerald is the little brother to Vaughn, who we photographed a couple years ago. It’s great to see the family again! When they came to see Fitzgerald’s pictures, it was so fun to see Vaughn with all his curly hair! I think both myself and Meghan were surprised to see just how much our oldest kids have changed. When we photographed Vaughn, Natalie was with us, and we watched them grow up together that whole first year. But when it’s been over a year since you’ve seen a toddler, they sure change a lot! We’re excited to have them back for a great year of photographing the newest member of the Miller family. Here are some favorites…

Kirstyn | Cheyenne Mountain Class of 2011

Our time with Kirstyn and her family showing them her Senior Portraits for the first time has probably been my favorite of the year so far! It’s always such a joy to show a family their images and see the reactions, but with this one, there was not a dry eye in our place…including mine! We managed to bring tears to her dad’s eyes for just the 4th time in his life, and being able to give them the gift of amazing images of the daughter they are so proud of seriously makes our job one of the best jobs in the world!! Kirstyn also gave Jon his first opportunity to experiment and begin refining underwater senior pictures, and you’ll see a clip of that at the end of her movie. And in case you’re not sure if the movie is worth watching (which, trust me, it is!), we’ve also included a few of her pictures to pique your interest…

What can I say? My family was speechless when we viewed our daughter’s senior pictures taken by Jonathan Betz Photography… perhaps it was due to being choked up and having tears streaming down our faces…Jon is an artist…so talented! He captures images through his lens that evokes pure emotions! Jon and Lindsey made the entire process effortless..easy going, comfortable, professional…yet, no high pressure! He gave us everything we wanted and more than we could even imagine! DVD with still photos and video! Underwater photography! Multiple locations! Multiple outfit changes! Packages tailored to meet our needs! Jon will be our photographer for every significant event in the future…make him yours too!

My sister’s photographs are beautiful…and captures her personality!

Kayli | Vista Ridge Class of 2011

Kayli’s family was back for the second year in a row…their son, Corey, was with us in the Class of 2010 at Sand Creek High School. Kayli opted for a split session for a complete change of hairstyle from one session to the next. She has a fantastic variety of images from the junkyard and downtown, Phantom Canyon Brewery, Monument Valley Park, and Bear Creek Park. A very special thank you to Phantom Canyon Brewery for allowing us to use their event space for the loft-style images Kayli wanted for featuring her love for writing and reading.

We’ve enjoyed getting to know her family over the past year and consider it such a compliment to have them back! We’ve included both a great movie and a few photographs from her session…
