The Nesbitt Family | Family Photography in the Golden Aspens

We loved seeing the Nesbitt Family again and capturing their current season in life! With young kids, they change quickly, so after first capturing family portraits in the baby & toddler stages in 2018, this recent session captures the early childhood years for their son and the start of kindergarten for their daughter.

Their vision was to have portraits in the golden aspens, and for that request, we go outside of our Colorado Springs area. We were thrilled to have timed the session well for the gorgeous fall colors – there’s never a guarantee for that timing, but with years of experience, we know how to do our best to make these requests fulfilled.

We’re excited to share favorites from a fun, fall session with this family. Jon brought out lots of personality with the kids and created gorgeous portraits for this family to love for all the years to come.

Calleigh | The Classical Academy College Pathways High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2021

Calleigh completes the years of high school senior portraits we have created for this family, and we’ve loved each session. She loves her animals and brought both her horse and her Italian Mastiff on her session. When not riding her horse or loving on her dog, Calleigh loves reading and baking. She played French Horn in band during many of her years. She also has a strong faith.

We’re excited to share favorites from her high school senior portraits and celebrate her accomplishments. She had a gorgeous fall day filled with rich colors of the season.

As she completes high school, she’s looking to pursue biology with strong potential to work with animals in her future career. We wish you our best, Calleigh!

Dijia + Blake | Wedding Photography

Like so many couples in 2020, Dijia & Blake found themselves a little unsure how to best create a special wedding in the midst of the pandemic. Just weeks prior to their October 10th date, they decided to find a rental cabin in the mountains of Colorado and bring their family and a close friend out to share in their day.

Dijia is from China, and the date 10-10-20 was a dream wedding date. When she called, we weren’t able to be available for more than a couple hours on that morning as we had portrait sessions already booked for the afternoon and evening. We both knew there was more photography they would want and we were determined to find a way to make it happen. As we talked over the phone, I was so thankful when I offered the option to have them come to Colorado Springs earlier that week for a multi-hour time where we took them all over favorite places in our area for gorgeous portraits of the two of them. We then joined them outside of Breckenridge on their Saturday to capture the ceremony and festivities right after.

The time we shared with Dijia and Blake in Colorado Springs was a really fun time and gave them some breathtaking images as well as many fun memories from those adventures that afternoon into the evening. Their wedding ceremony will forever remain in my top favorites – Dijia’s son officiated, the vows could not have been more tender and heartfelt, and there was not a dry eye (mine included!) as these two married and officially began their new family. There is something truly special when simplicity invites the depth of the moment to shine. So many times the fanfare of the venues, multitudes of people, food to be eaten, decor, and schedule of events garner attention and focus. In this tender ceremony of just a handful of their most special people and in the simplicity of the back balcony of the cabin, one of the most authentic and beautiful moments unfolded. What an honor for us to be invited to capture it and share in their moment.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

The Ingrum Family | Colorado Springs Family Portraits

This was a very special session for us as we have known the Ingrum Family within our school community for years. After their last family portraits in 2016 during a family reunion, it was time for new portraits to feature this current season in their family’s life.

The timing of their session was perfect for vibrant fall colors, and even the smoky skies created great options to consider of the Front Range. With our full hour family session, our families have the opportunity to create portraits with lots of variations of groupings and individuals of the kids in the family.

We can’t wait for them to be enjoying their wall art and album and are excited to celebrate favorites from their recent family session!

Elspeth | Sand Creek High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2021

We’ve loved creating some very unique portraits for this artsy thespian. She’s an avid actress on the stage with a wide variety of roles she’s had the opportunity to play over her years. She’s planning to continue acting as a hobby.

Elspeth had three distinct looks she was excited to feature in her senior portraits, and our studio was the best location for her. We’re excited to share favorites from her session and wish her a great senior year!
