Nicole | Cheyenne Mountain High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2015

Nicole is an outgoing and creative high school senior with a great sense of humor.  Her family is newer to the Colorado Springs area, and in the past she’s been active with swimming and crew.  This Cheyenne Mountain High School senior wanted natural, Colorado landscapes and fields as elements in her senior pictures, so Cheyenne Canyon and Stratton Open Space were great locations for her.  Nicole plans to pursue a career as an elementary school teacher.  Enjoy senior year, Nicole!!

Thank you both for everything. You both are amazingly talented and your creativity is unmatched in the industry. I appreciate how professional and patient you both were and are during the session itself as well as throughout the follow up meeting and communications. Best of wishes for continued success in your business and family life.

Andrew | Rampart High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2015

We’ve really enjoyed photographing Andrew, especially since we’ve known his mom for a handful of years now!  Andrew is a high-achieving, accomplished high school senior who has a sharp sense of style and plays both clarinet and saxophone. He plays in both Rampart High School’s marching band and jazz band.  He’s also athletic and loves mountain biking and running track.  He loves to refuel with favorite food, mac n’ cheese (and who doesn’t love mac n’ cheese??).  Andrew plans to attend college on the East Coast and study pre-med.  Enjoy senior year, Andrew!!

And for any of you looking to improve your health or have natural cleaning solutions for your home, Andrew’s mom, Susan, is a fantastic consultant for Shaklee.  You can contact her through her website!

Thanks, Lindsay. It was a pleasure working with both you and Jonathan. One thing I was very grateful to Jon for was his knowledge of the weather and lighting conditions, and how he continued with the session beyond where I would have thought it was getting too dark. He told us we were fine, and the results are evidence that he was right. No need to have rescheduled! And Lindsay, your pre-session meeting with us made the session planning a breeze (What to bring? Where to meet?) and our time with Jonathan more efficient. You are a true professional.

Welcoming Newborn Dylan to the Family! | Newborn & Children’s Portraits

Congratulations to these two Big Sisters on the arrival of their baby brother!  This family returned to us for a session to capture newborn portraits, but more importantly, some precious early moments between these three siblings.  Beautiful memories are captured in their portraits from the session, and it’s clear newborn Dylan is loved!

Photography Tip:  Sessions with little kids are often chaotic!  The benefits of hiring a professional photographer are not only that of freeing the parent’s focus away from trying to take pictures but also bringing in a neutral party.  As a parent (and we totally do this too with our own kids!), it’s easy to have huge expectations for how well your kids will behave.  As a professional dealing with toddlers all the time, Jon brings in pretty accurate expectations, and you can be fairly certain not to be the most chaotic session he’s ever encountered.  Your session might feel crazy and impossible to you, but for Jon, it’s just another session with little kids, and he’s getting great images no matter how it feels at the time.

Julianna | Doherty High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2015

We’ve had a great time getting to know Julianna and her mom!  Julianna recently had her senior portraits taken at Monument Valley Park, and this loud, outgoing, caring, and talkative senior loved featuring her clarinet and letterjacket during her session.  She’s active with the Doherty High School band and is looking forward to their trip to Disney in March – our kids are jealous!!  After finishing high school, she plans to pursue nursing.  She’s got the perfect personality to bring care and joy to her future patients.  Enjoy senior year, Julianna!!

Kevin + Samantha | Colorado Springs Wedding Photography at Sacred Heart Church & ProRodeo Hall of Fame

Kevin & Samantha’s day was one of fun, laughter, tears, and lots of great memories!  Kevin & Samantha have been together since high school, and you can tell that they are best friends who are now officially committed to living life together as husband and wife.  After a beautiful ceremony at Sacred Heart Church in Old Colorado City, the celebration began at the ProRodeo Hall of Fame.  Their first dance was a huge highlight of the reception…for about 30 seconds, it appeared to be a nice and typical first dance.  And then they broke into a pop medley, fully choreographed, featuring favorites from the 90s and early 2000s.  Everyone was laughing, cheering, and impressed by this newly married couple’s moves!!  We LOVED being a part of their wedding day…not only because it was such a fun day, but because we have known and photographed key moments for this family over the past 7 years.  It’s an honor!
