Happy Thanksgiving!!

We love Thanksgiving and setting aside a day for reflecting on all the things in life for which we’re grateful!  Like so many of you, Faith and Family top our list of “things we’re thankful for.”  We are also continually and deeply thankful for our photography business and the clients who come to us each year.  Know that you are valued and appreciated beyond what our words can express.  May you enjoy a day surrounded by family and with a heart of thankfulness.

We thought it fitting on Thanksgiving to share some of our own family portraits from just a few weeks ago in Cheyenne Canon.  We’re passionate about photography and the legacy of great portraits, and we’re not just wanting that for our clients – we do it for ourselves.  And after we photograph our family, we sit down and choose our favorites and then order wall art, cards, and albums – just as we do with our client families and using the same great prints and products offered to our client families.  Our business is a reflection of us and a reflection of what we value – it’s our best and we’re so thankful for the many families who choose us and our photography for their own families each year.

Jake | Doherty High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2015

Jake’s family is a returning family from a couple years ago when we photographed his older brother’s senior portraits.  We always love seeing family’s return to us!  Jake is an outgoing, friendly high school senior who loves his truck (that might be an understatement!!).  When he’s not working, he enjoys the outdoors and chose Cheyenne Canon and Gold Camp Road for his locations.  He added our After Dark upgrade to his session, and that always gives a completely different set of portraits from a session.  Jake plans to go into law enforcement after graduation this Spring!

The Whiteway Family | Family Portraits in Red Rock Canyon

The Whiteway Family was referred to us by another family we’ve photographed over the years, and we had such a great time with them!  With a young and active toddler, this was a session that felt chaotic and had rough moments, but when you’re with a professional photographer, great portraits are being made…even if it feels the very opposite!  Their session timed nicely with some fantastic autumn colors in Red Rock Canyon.  Here’s what they shared with us in an email about their experience:

I just wanted to write and tell you that I appreciate your care and the time you took to make our viewing experience a great one! From the slide show to the method of choosing and you adding your expertise I felt very comfortable and confident in the products we chose. Never have I experienced such customer service from a photography company.   Additionally somehow Jon was able to pull out some amazing shots even with a uncooperative toddler!  We will continue to use you for our future photography needs. Thanks again!

The Cantore Family | Family Portraits at Red Rock Canyon

This adorable family has been so excited for their photography session!  They are an active family of 5, and their daughter clearly loves keeping up with her big brothers. We loved the thought they put into their attire for their family portraits, and the golden tones in their outfits was a great compliment to the green, red, brown, and golden tones in the landscape around them.  Enjoy favorites from a great family session!

I love the backdrop for this family session. Their colors go perfectly with the tall grass and tress in the background. I enjoy taking family portraits, they might be my favorite shoots.

Tara | Cheyenne Mountain High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2015

Tara is an optimistic, friendly, and energetic high school senior at Cheyenne Mountain High School.  She loves people and places and loves to learn.  She’s a songwriter and plays both guitar and piano and also loves writing in general.  When in the outdoors, hiking is a favorite activity.  She’s looking at a wide range of great possibilities for her career: music production, journalism, neuroscience, or foreign relations.  Her senior photography session used Cheyenne Canon, Rock Ledge Ranch, and Garden of the Gods.  Have a fantastic senior year, Tara!
