Sara | Pikes Peak Christian School | High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2015

Sara is a smiley and driven high school senior who loves helping people.  She aspires to study neuropsychology and would love to have a career in research or as a lab scientist.  She’s a competitive figure skater and volleyball player who also loves hiking and just being outdoors.  It’s been such a treat to get to know her family as we’ve served their photography needs.  You know you have great client families when they come for their final pick up of their order, and you’re sad you won’t see them for awhile!

Sara had the treat of a January due date for her yearbook submission, so we saw her in December for her photography session.  Those winter sessions are so fun since we only get to do a few senior sessions each year outside of the summer and fall seasons.  Her session is proof that outdoor photography can happen year round in our awesome city.  We are so blessed to live in a place with so much beauty and doing what we LOVE.

Our best to you, Sara, as you finish high school and dream BIG.  Go after your dreams…they are so worth all the hard work, sacrifice, and dedication.  We can say that from experience!!

Tarik & Kelly | Engagement Portraits at Garden of the Gods

Tarik & Kelly enjoyed a great late fall day for their engagement portraits in one of our favorite locations for spectacular mountain views, golden fields, and those iconic red rock formations that Colorado Springs is famous for.  Engagement portraits are such a fun and romantic way to capture the memories and emotions that lead up to the wedding day.  We love that engagement portraits represent that timeless look for each couple – the wedding day portraits are so important and special, yet they will always be tied to the emotions and memories from one day.  Engagement portraits represent so many memories from dating and falling in love, and often create timeless wall art pieces to start the family legacy.  Enjoy our favorites from their photography session!

Joshua + Laurel | Wedding Photography Colorado Springs

Joshua and Laurel were a special couple to photograph for their wedding.  We first met Laurel’s family back when she was a high school senior, and have stayed in touch since then as they referred us to their church for staff portraits and brought us new families over the years.  We were honored to be such an important piece of the wedding day, and it’s always such a treat to already know some of the family and guests before the wedding day.  They had their ceremony at the gorgeous Shove Chapel on Colorado College’s campus and enjoyed a vintage-themed reception at the Wyndham Mining Exchange Hotel downtown.  Laurel’s mom and aunts did an AMAZING job with the decorations at the reception – some amazing and unique touches, complete with an area that showcased the actual wedding dresses from past family members complimented by a wedding portrait from that wedding day.  So special and just perfect for the vintage theme.  Both Joshua and Laurel put faith first in their lives, and God’s presense was tangible at their ceremony.  We’re excited to finally get up their blog post.  We have such great memories from a day filled with faith, family, laughter, and celebration!  Congratulations again to both of you.  We pray you’re enjoying so many awesome moments as the first year of your marriage unfolds!
