The Davis Family | Colorado Springs Family Portraits at Red Rock Canyon

I just love this family!  Julie and I are in a great networking group together, and she’s probably one of the very best Lia Sophia business owners in Colorado Springs!  You can visit her website and know that she’s just fantastic with parties and helping you add sparkle to your day!  She’s been looking forward to a family photography session with us for awhile, so it’s so fun to now have completed their session and get to post favorites!

Here’s what Julie had to say about her experience with us:  “I have never had such an incredible experience with any other photographer in my life.  Jon was so kind, creative, witty, and easy-going that it was hard not to have a good time. My husband who absolutely hates having photos done even said that Jon was a great guy who made the experience “not too bad.” And my 10-year-old, who isn’t always as cooperative as he might be, did a great job with Jon, and Jon was so patient and kind to him. We really had a great hour taking pictures and having a good time.  The part I really didn’t expect or know how it would go was the viewing of our portraits a couple weeks later. Lindsay is a true professional. When we had the lights dimmed for a slide show and then were helped to narrow down everything that was taken into our true favorites, it was a painless hour!  She truly helps you make great decisions.  I appreciated this experience so very much, and Jon and Lindsay are truly artists. I can’t imagine anyone else ever taking our pictures again, and I recommend Jonathan Betz Photography to anyone looking for any kind of portrait.”

Matt + Eleanor | Wedding Photography in Estes Park, Colorado

Matt & Eleanor’s summer wedding up in Estes Park was such an honor to photograph!  This couple is basically family as Eleanor’s brother is my sister’s husband, and when family chooses you as a vendor, it’s quite an honor.  Eleanor’s history is very tied to Estes Park, spending summers hiking and exploring in the mountains there with Cheley Camps.  I personally had Eleanor as a camper when I was a hiking counselor and loved having her on our hikes.  She has a great expertise out in the backcountry.  So it’s been so fun to become so much more connected to her family through weddings!  We’re excited to share with you a handful of favorites from their wedding at The Crags Lodge in Estes Park.  Both Matt & Eleanor are humble and laid back, and their wedding reflected strong friendships, the love for their families, and their desire to build a day that honored those around them for being a part of the story of their relationship.  Congratulations to you both!  We’ll be excited when you live in Colorado!

Pia | Cheyenne Mountain High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2014

We just love Pia’s Family!  We met them a few years ago when her older sister did her senior pictures with us, and it’s been wonderful having them back with us for Pia’s senior photography!  Pia is outgoing and bubbly.  She loves people but also enjoys time to herself.  She’s a lifeguard and cheers for Cheyenne Mountain High School.  She’s looking to study on the East Coast and has her sights set on Boston College.  She chose Cheyenne Canyon, Stratton Open Space, Downtown Colorado Springs, and Garden of the Gods as the locations for her photography session.  Enjoy some of our favorites!

Gabrielle | Rampart High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2014

It’s been so fun reconnecting with this great family for Gabbie’s senior photography!  We photographed her older sister a few years ago, and this family excels in storytelling through their senior portraits.  They weave in so many facets of their daughters’ personalities, strengths, and interests.  Their sessions go beyond “great pictures” and into the realm of really knowing who this high school senior is and what they love.  For Gabbie, she’s funny, smart, and outgoing and very well-rounded!  She’s comfortable in class and loves science, on the stage performing with theater or choir, and in the garage working on her car.  She plans to major in biology.  Her session used Cheyenne Canyon, Manitou Springs, and her home.  We’re excited to share a handful of our favorites from this Rampart High School Senior!

I am loving all the different looks in each senior session. The lighting is mixing well and looking great. The mechanic picture was a favorite as well. Nicely done.
