Our Vendor Relationships Matter!

One of the things we love about attending our annual international photography convention is the relationships we have built with our vendors. We use professional labs, canvas, and album vendors for the professional prints and products we offer to you, our clients. We found and carefully chose each of our vendors through the trade show that is a key piece to convention. Over the years, we’ve loved building relationships with each of these labs and look forward to connecting at convention with the people we work with at each place. When our labs are all in different states, having face time is so fun and important. We love that when we call Randy at Miller’s Lab, we know him on a more personal level and he knows us; we love that when we call Jenn at Zookbinders, we’ve had conversations with her and know what she looks like! One of these relationships has been with Mark Zucker, the president/CEO of Zookbinders, our fantastic album company. We met him in person at our very first convention, and at that time, shared with him our plans and dreams for our business. We also shared that we were using our own Zookbinders wedding album as our sample for our brides & grooms, and Mark offered a complimentary sample album. Since that conversation over 5 years ago, we now look forward to catching up with Mark each year at convention. It’s been exciting to share our growth each year with him, and those connections and conversations led to an invitation for Lindsay to join the brand new Zookbinders Advisory Board. What this means is that we now get to have a significant voice with our album company, and we’re honored to be chosen! So, no matter what field you’re in, relationships matter. And for you, our client and future client, the personal touches we extend to you from us go beyond just us to our vendors as well. This ensures a great product and experience for you from the valued relationships we have with our vendors.

Daniel & Olivia | Engagement Portraits at Garden of the Gods

Daniel and Olivia found us through our Groupon for their engagement portraits. Their wedding will be later this year back in Michigan. Olivia just made the move out to Colorado Springs, so she’s quite thankful that her mom is able to take an active role in the rest of the wedding planning back in Michigan! With the wedding in Michigan, featuring Colorado for their engagement session was a perfect way to tell that part of their story. They chose Garden of the Gods to have fantastic opportunities for mountain views and portraits that would clearly speak of Colorado Springs. Enjoy our favorites!

The Gorr Family | Family Portraits at Red Rock Canyon

Meet the Gorr Family! We first met Ron through photographing the Air Academy High School Boys’ Tennis Team. We’ve done their team pictures the last few years, and through those photography opportunities, Ron and his family started thinking about family portraits. They jumped at our Groupon last summer and had their session this past November. We’ve really enjoyed getting to know their whole family. Red Rock Canyon was a great fit for their session and gave their active, fun-loving boys great opportunities to climb on rocks and trees. Enjoy our favorites!

The Wright Family | Family Portraits at Garden of the Gods

It was very special to photograph the Wright Family this past fall. Cristina and I have been co-leading a small group for the womens’ Bible studies at Woodmen Valley Chapel for 2 years now, and I’ve loved getting to know her and her heart during that time. This session was the first family session they’ve done outside of a commercial, indoor, studio session, and we’re blessed that they came to us for this first boutique studio experience and for outdoor portraits! This is a beautiful family both inside and out, and we’re excited to share our favorites from their family portraits session at Garden of the Gods.

Josiah | Falcon High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2012

Josiah’s session was, in his own words, “epic.”  Gotta love that!  He and his mom were filled with ideas when we met with them prior to his session, and it was fun to incorporate all their ideas.  It was quite the epic day that took Jon and Josiah literally all over Colorado Springs and beyond!  While he may describe himself as more introverted, it was fun to really bring out his passions, interest, and personality during his session!  Josiah’s big interests include paintball and gaming, and Jon enjoyed getting creative at All-Star Paintball.  Later that day, his session was everywhere from Castlewood Canyon to the Paint Mines…we told you we were just about everywhere! And his day was just amazing with rainbows and a fantastic lightning storm as Jon drove back after his session.

Josiah, our best to you as you finish out your final semester at Falcon High School!  Enjoy graduation and all the celebrations, and we know you and your family will treasure your high school senior pictures for years to come!
