Olivia | Cheyenne Mountain High School Class of 2011 Senior Portraits

Olivia was very fun to photograph and had a great time beginning at the junkyard and then going to Cheyenne Canyon and to her stables. Olivia and her mom could not believe that Jon wanted to go to the stables for part of her session (since they claimed it was too ugly and couldn’t possibly be good for pictures), but since Freya is such a big part of Olivia’s life and wasn’t one to travel somewhere else for pictures, the stables was the perfect location. And once they saw the pictures, Olivia and her mom both commented that they could not believe how great the pictures turned out. As a side note, their View & Choose appointment was another favorite of mine. It was Olivia, her mom, and her aunt, and being a very Italian family, I loved how lively they were! The comments were so fun to hear from them and definitely made it full of smiles and laughter. Here are a handful of our favorites from her session…

Sophie | 9 month Baby Portraits

Sophie is just too cute! She and Tyler are very close in age, so they are fun to watch when they are together! This past time, Sophie was very kind and shared her teething biscuit with Tyler. She came in chewing on it, and next thing I know, Tyler’s got it in his mouth and all over his face! Not that it’s very surprising since Tyler seems to have some radar system for anything edible (and not…he loves putting leaves in his mouth outside too…). We just love our time with Sophie and her parents, Jared and Megan. Enjoy some favorites from her most recent session!

Zach & Erin | Wedding Photography

We posted the “teasers” shortly after Zach & Erin’s August 7th wedding, and here’s more of their story! This was the wedding day that had so many personal touches from Zach and Erin…from handmade items with the decorations to homemade desserts and tortes to Zach’s original music for the processional (performed by a string quartet) to the original song he played and sang for her at the reception…so many things made it such a special day for them and their guests. Enjoy!

Brock | Rampart High School Class of 2011 Senior Portraits

Meet Brock, future NHL goalie…no, seriously, he truly has a shot at this! While ice hockey pictures were not a big focus for his senior pictures (as you can imagine, they’ve had LOTS of hockey pictures of Brock over the years!), Jon did love the opportunity to add ice hockey images to his portfolio. Most of Brock’s session was spent downtown and in Cheyenne Canyon. Enjoy these favorites!

Jon,
The “One Way” shot is a minimalist’s seven-course banquet!
I’m just a snapshot hobby photographer, but I recognize genius and am fortunate when I can acknowledge it.
Great photo!

Megan | Liberty High School Class of 2011 Senior Portraits

Megan’s session was really unique! Jon met her in Black Forest for motorcross images! Her whole family is really into it, so it was fun for Jon to photograph here and meaningful in telling her story. Jon got to meet a couple of nationally-ranked bikers who are featured in some of her images. From there, the session went by the great stone bridge outside of Garden of the Gods and ended in downtown Colorado Springs. Here are some favorites…
