Elliott is just such a cute, happy baby. We’re actually about to photograph his 9 month portraits (so, hey…at least we’re catching up some!) but before that happens next week, we had to share a couple of pictures from his 6 month portrait session that always bring a smile to my face. Now you know it’s a great portrait when you’re in love with it and it’s not even your child!!

Ashley had a very memorable session with Jon…he pretty much about broke his ankle when he slipped up above Helen Hunt Falls toward the end of her session. Ashley’s incredibly athletic and plays both golf and soccer. Her participation in sports (and also her desire to pursue pre-med) were incredibly helpful after Jon’s fall since she was able to tape him up right there at the falls! Amazingly enough, Jon did not break anything, and his first description of the incident to me was that he protected all his camera equipment from harm…yes, his priority was to sacrifice his own body to protect his equipment!
Ashley’s sessions took her all over Colorado Springs…she was at the junkyard and railroad tracks, Old Colorado City, Garden of the Gods, and Cheyenne Canyon.

We are again playing catch up from our high school senior sessions that happened later in the season…we feel really blessed to have continued our busy season this year and thank our last handful of high school seniors for their patience in getting to have their blog post up!
Tessa attends Cheyenne Mountain High School and found us through a friend. We love referrals since we know you’ll only send others our way if you’ve loved your experience with us! Tessa wanted a very natural session and chose to use areas of Bear Creek Regional Park and Lower Gold Camp Road. We’ve posted our favorites below. Best wishes to Tessa as she pursues attending either Rice or Middlebury. From growing up in Houston (where Rice Univ is located), the weather would not exactly be ideal (especially compared to our fantastic dry climate and cool temps here!) but it’s a fantastic university. But, like I told Tessa, she’d be off during the summers when it’s most unbearable, and the “not summer” time (what I called “winter” since Houston really doesn’t have a true winter…) is truly great!

Wow! Today marks one month since the running of our Groupon and the first Groupon family sessions! Since the deal ran, we have photographed 43 of our Groupon Families. A handful of these are returning families, but the vast majority have been brand new. We have LOVED meeting all of you and sharing your portraits with you! It’s been such a blessing to be so busy during the time of year that usually is slowing down for us. Thanks to our Groupon, we’re just as busy now as in our peak summer season. And who could have asked for a better fall time here? In the 4 years we’ve lived here, this is the longest fall we’ve experienced and the longest we waited to have the first snow. It’s just been beautiful! We thought we’d do this one-month post and show you favorites from a handful of our sessions. Paige is already mostly finished with her high school requirements at Rampart High School and is well into earning her cosmetology degree! Her session earlier this fall took us to the Garden of the Gods area, Old Colorado City, and Red Rock Canyon. Best wishes, Paige, as you work toward your degree and complete high school!
