Becca | Air Academy High School Class of 2011 | Senior Portraits

Becca was referred to us by the triplets, Kristen, Stephanie, & Scott. As always, it’s such a compliment to us when a current family introduces us to a new family. And then when we met Becca and her mom, we found out that they actually know another family of ours, the Langhals. Her session was full of fun colors and places all throughout Manitou Springs! Following a theme of “water” this summer, her session ended at the well-known Graffiti Falls (or Rainbow Falls if you use it’s real name). Prior to this summer, we’d never been there, but we’ve been a handful of times now. The falls always make for great pictures! Enjoy a handful of our favorites…

Morgan | Falcon High School Class of 2011 High School Senior Portraits

Morgan just came to pick up her order today, and it’s always so fun to deliver an order to a family. It’s the final part of the whole experience of having professional portraits taken, and while we like to think that we make the whole experience fun and memorable, getting to see and hold your actual art is so exciting! Morgan chose downtown Colorado Springs, Monument Valley Park, and Old Colorado City for her senior session. Here are a few of our favorites…

The Spotts Family | Family Photography at Garden of the Gods

This was a very special session because it was the first time that the Spotts family had done portraits outdoors! All their other experiences with professional photography had been in a studio, and we’re so glad we got to give them an experience of pictures in the beautiful outdoor setting of Garden of the Gods. We love outdoor sessions because they allow for breaks in between photography locations, give kids a chance to relax and play and run off some extra energy during the session, and they provide an experience in and of itself while you’re taking your pictures. All of our families always comment that they had so much fun together just taking the pictures…we love that! It’s one of our goals that every session is fun and creates lasting memories. I’m sure their oldest daughter will always laugh when she remembers getting her shoe stuck in between a couple rocks after one of our spots for pictures! Enjoy a few favorites and a look at the collection we created to feature their beautiful kids…

Mitchell Family Portraits | Estes Park, Colorado

Jill and I met in college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. We are sorority sisters – Go Gamma Phi! We’ve kept in touch over the past 10 years and for the first couple of years after I was done with college, I was in St. Louis, MO, which is where Jill is from. I’d get to see her when she came home to see her parents who are still in St. Louis. We hadn’t seen each other for about 6-7 years, so I was really excited to hear that she was coming out to Colorado with her family and wanted to do family pictures with us! We decided to meet up in Estes Park so they’d have amazing Colorado mountain scenery for their portraits. It was so great to see her and Nathan again and meet their darling daughter, Alexandra! We also got to meet Nathan’s brother and sister-in-law, Mike & Stephanie, who live in Longmont. They are newly married…congratulations! We enjoyed a great time walking around Lily Lake and finding different places to take their pictures. And then we all went into town and enjoyed a great Mexican dinner. It was so fun re-connecting and spending time together, and we love that they thought to come to us to do their portraits during their Colorado trip!

Enjoy some favorites and their DVD movie…

Olivia | Cheyenne Mountain High School Class of 2011 Senior Portraits

Olivia was very fun to photograph and had a great time beginning at the junkyard and then going to Cheyenne Canyon and to her stables. Olivia and her mom could not believe that Jon wanted to go to the stables for part of her session (since they claimed it was too ugly and couldn’t possibly be good for pictures), but since Freya is such a big part of Olivia’s life and wasn’t one to travel somewhere else for pictures, the stables was the perfect location. And once they saw the pictures, Olivia and her mom both commented that they could not believe how great the pictures turned out. As a side note, their View & Choose appointment was another favorite of mine. It was Olivia, her mom, and her aunt, and being a very Italian family, I loved how lively they were! The comments were so fun to hear from them and definitely made it full of smiles and laughter. Here are a handful of our favorites from her session…
