Our One-Month Groupon Anniversary | Colorado Springs Family Photography

Wow! Today marks one month since the running of our Groupon and the first Groupon family sessions! Since the deal ran, we have photographed 43 of our Groupon Families. A handful of these are returning families, but the vast majority have been brand new. We have LOVED meeting all of you and sharing your portraits with you! It’s been such a blessing to be so busy during the time of year that usually is slowing down for us. Thanks to our Groupon, we’re just as busy now as in our peak summer season. And who could have asked for a better fall time here? In the 4 years we’ve lived here, this is the longest fall we’ve experienced and the longest we waited to have the first snow. It’s just been beautiful! We thought we’d do this one-month post and show you favorites from a handful of our sessions. If you’d like to see more, we’ve recently updated our family gallery on our website, so feel free to check it out here!

Paige | Rampart High School Senior Portraits Class of 2011

Paige is already mostly finished with her high school requirements at Rampart High School and is well into earning her cosmetology degree! Her session earlier this fall took us to the Garden of the Gods area, Old Colorado City, and Red Rock Canyon. Best wishes, Paige, as you work toward your degree and complete high school! Enjoy a few favorites from her session…

Matt & Rebecca | Engagement Portraits

Matt and Rebecca’s wedding is next July in Taos, NM, and we cannot be more excited to experience Taos with them during their wedding weekend! It’s a place filled with meaning and history in their relationship, and we just love that they’re planning their special day in a way for all their guests to experience this place they love so much. It’ll be our first time there, and based on what we’ve heard from Matt & Rebecca, it should be a fantastic trip!

We did their engagement portraits session a little while ago (yes, we’re VERY behind on our posts!!), and Jon had such a fantastic time with them during the session. Matt and Rebecca met at Pikes Perk Coffee downtown, so we started there for their session and then went to Red Rock Canyon and ended at Garden of the Gods. They had the perfect evening sky to have some amazing silhouettes to end their session!

Matt & Rebecca…we truly cannot wait for your wedding weekend!

Taylor | Sand Creek High School Senior Portraits Class of 2011

Okay, we’ve had some quick posts from our recent rush of family sessions, so it’s time to catch back up with one of our high school seniors in the Class of 2011. Taylor loves cars…mostly old ones…so we started her session at the junkyard and then a few urban images before heading to Red Rock Canyon and finally out east to an old barn. Her dad brought his 1920s Ford…still all original. Pretty amazing. So, of course, we also took portraits with his car too! He’s looking to sell it, so if you’re a car collector interested in expanding, let us know and we’ll connect you with her dad. Taylor, we know you’ve waited a long time for your post, so thanks for your patience! Enjoy your final year at Sand Creek High School!

The Yount Family | Family Portraits at The Broadmoor

We first met Ashley a little over a year ago (me very pregnant with Tyler) shortly after they had moved to Colorado Springs and she had her new daughter. With her husband’s recent deployment, she jumped on our Groupon deal for family portraits! We were able to get her family in for their session at The Broadmoor before the deployment and had Ashley over today to see her images. She’ll be coordinating some of the selections with Britton while he’s overseas, so as with a few of our other recent families, this blog post allows Britton the chance to see his family’s movie and images!

Britton – We thank you for serving our country and hope you enjoy your movie and a few of our favorites from your session. May these images bridge the gap of the miles currently between you and your family and bring you some light and laughter while you are away. We are praying for your safe return.
