Christian | Pine Creek High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2011

Christian initially came in for just the yearbook session and then we caught up with him later this past fall for his full session. Christian is an accomplished hockey player, so part of his session featured ice hockey and the end of his session roller hockey. He plays on the same team as Brock, and both of those boys have dreams to play in the NHL – we say, go for it!! Christian’s session also included time at Garden of the Gods, Rampart Range Road, and downtown Colorado Springs.

Christian – we’ve been very impressed by your accomplishments and wish you the best as you finish your time at Pine Creek High School and look ahead to college at Denver Univ, Colorado College, and pursuing your hockey dreams!

Here are some of our favorites from your sessions!

Chris | ECA Class of 2011 High School Senior Portraits

Chris and his family found us through our groupon deal and did both his senior portraits and family portraits with us. Chris ended up having those two sessions just 2 days apart since they, like us, are members of Woodmen Valley Chapel and both Chris & his sister were in the annual production of “Scrooge” and had quite the rehearsal schedule happening at the same time as needing to get portraits taken! It’s been great getting to know their whole family. Chris loved the urban look for his pictures, so we used downtown Colorado Springs for his session. Enjoy our favorites!

Chris, our best to you as you finish out senior year at ECA and begin a new chapter in your life next fall!

HAPPY NEW YEAR from Our Family to Yours!

With as exciting as the final months of 2010 have been, we are really excited to welcome in 2011 and see what it holds for our family and our business! A HUGE thank you to all of our families who support our business and give us the opportunity to do what we love! We look forward to seeing both new and familiar faces in the New Year!

Back in November, our good friend and associate photographer, Daron Short, photographed our family at Red Rock Canyon. Jon in turn photographed Daron, his wife, Rachael, and their adorable dog, Belle. It was a fun time and the first time since our wedding that Jon and I have been officially photographed ourselves! It was hard for Jon to be on the other side of the camera, yet it was such a fun time for our family. These are a few of our favorites from our family session!

The Gollihare Family | Garden of the Gods Family Portraits

The Gollihares are a great example of clients that have become friends. I love our get-togethers…it’s amazing how the time flies when we’re just talking and having dinner! Their daughter, Sydney, and Natalie are fairly close in age and have a good time playing together. Tyler adds a little different dynamic to the whole thing, but as he gets older, I’m sure the 3 of them will have a lot of fun! We did Sydney’s photography over her first year and then saw them back for family portraits this October at Garden of the Gods. Since we were having dinner together afterwards, I was actually there with both kids…it was a lot of chaos, but swinging Tyler upside down really got Sydney smiling (and Tyler loved it too…he just laughs and laughs and laughs when he’s upside down)! And while Tyler helped to bring out great smiles, we certainly were reminded of why I do not come to our sessions now that we have kids…trust us that meeting them in our home during view & choose appointments is plenty! Anyway, it was a beautiful afternoon that created beautiful portraits! Enjoy!

Erin | Pine Creek High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2011

Erin and her family moved to Colorado Springs from England just over 6 months ago, and being new to the area, their home seemed like a perfect place to begin her senior portraits session. We love the closeness between her and her mom and love her mom’s accent! It’s interesting that Erin does not have an accent, but I have to say that I just loved the wording they used about her pictures when they were choosing their favorites…they’d say, “I’m keen on that one” or “I’m not so keen on that one.” I love that word and no one uses it here, so it was fun and refreshing! Anyway, after portraits at her home (and many with her awesome dog, Roman, who Erin adores), we photographed her along the Edmondson Trail. I love how her portraits capture her quiet, natural, and genuine personality. Best wishes, Erin, as you complete your senior year at Pine Creek High School!
