As 2011 began and we set our goals for our business, one of our priorities was to give back to our community even more. So we had the idea for March to be a month of giving, and we’ve chosen to support the Compassion Ministry. We chose Compassion for a number of reasons…first, we have a child in Guatemala, Teresa Reyes, that we have supported since 2005; second, Compassion is based here in Colorado Springs and is a vibrant part of our local community that impacts the global community; and third, we have a heart for kids, especially those in need.
So what does this mean for you? Any family in Colorado Springs that currently supports a child can schedule a free session ($125 value) with us during the month of March and will receive a complimentary print to send to their sponsored child (or children). Not yet supporting a child? Visit Compassion’s website, learn more, and prayerfully consider joining the thousands who sponsor a child. And if you become a new sponsor, we welcome you to have a free session with us in March! Additionally, all sessions done in March will have a portion of our proceeds from the sales donated to Compassion’s ministry. March is going to be an amazing month to schedule a session with us and know that your business with us will make a difference for children in need around the world!

We’ve loved the handful of vintage weddings we’ve gotten to photograph in our time here, and we’ll share a few favorites with you!
Finn just makes me smile! We have so enjoyed our time watching him grow and change over his first year and have loved getting to know his family. He has an older brother too, and we’re excited to see them again for an outdoor session with both boys when the weather is warm again (so nice to think about as we’ve all been in these frigid, sub-zero temps lately!). Enjoy these favorites from each of his baby sessions at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months.

I love the one of him in the blue chair! Very sweet…all of them, but that’s my favorite.
Being in Woodland Park and at a smaller high school, TJ was able to come in after the big rush of high school senior picture time to have his senior portraits taken. Since he’s a snowboarder, the late fall/early winter timing for his session gave some opportunities to have some ice and snow available for snowboarding pictures! In addition to snowboarding, TJ also loves his Honda Civic (I love mine too, though TJ’s is far newer and sportier than mine looks!), four-wheeling, hunting, and just having fun. His fun-loving, laid back personality really came through in his pictures, and we love the bold colors he wore.
TJ – Best wishes during your final semester at Woodland Park High School and the beginning to college in the fall! We’ve loved taking your senior pictures!
