Olivia’s First Year of Baby Photography & Spring Family Portraits at Glen Eyrie

Olivia turned ONE last month and had her final session in our “My First Year” package as part of one of our Bebe Boutique Packages!  Her family also had great fun doing family portraits as part of the boutique package.  Our friendship with this fantastic family goes all the way back to St. Louis…Jon and Ben (Olivia’s dad) were in a men’s Bible study together that began as a “single guys” group and quickly saw most everyone get married over a 2 year period!  When we made our plans to move to Colorado Springs, Ben & Christi had moved out here about 4 months earlier.  It’s been such a blessing to have them here and watch our families grow from couples to families of 4!  And our kids LOVE playing together!  Olivia is just precious, and her proud big brother Samuel makes you smile – and he’s incredibly smart too!  As we’ve said before, one of the greatest compliments to us is when our friends are also our clients…so thanks, guys, for your support of our business!  Enjoy favorites from Olivia’s baby portrait sessions and their family session…

Jesse & Ashley | Garden of the Gods Club Wedding Photography

Congratulations, Jesse & Ashley!!  We had so much fun with this life-loving, vibrant couple this past Sunday that we just could not wait to quickly post a few from their day.  We’ll have many more to post later, but for now, enjoy some “teasers.”  Garden of the Gods Club has to be one of our favorite venues in Colorado Springs.  You just cannot get a more beautiful view of Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. We’ve lived here for almost 5 years now, and that view still awes me and gives me a moment to be so thankful for such a creative Creator.  What a blessing to live in the mountains!  Jesse and Ashley chose Colorado Springs for their destination wedding and everyone traveled down from South Dakota and surrounding areas to experience the beauty here and share in their wedding day.  Fantastic portraits of the two of them were a priority for their day, so they enjoyed a special first moment to see each other before the ceremony, and we loved the opportunity to take them into Garden of the Gods before returning to Garden of the Gods Club for the ceremony and reception.

Enjoy!

Memorial Day 2011

Thank you to all of our friends and family and to the families we photograph who serve, past or present, in our military – we cannot thank you enough for the sacrifices you make for our freedom.  And to those who have given their lives for the amazing blessing of freedom we have in our country, we remember and honor you on this Memorial Day.

Clay | TCA Class of 2011 High School Senior Portraits

Clay is about to officially graduate from The Classical Academy, so a big congratulations on graduation!! It’s been fun to have Clay’s family back for his high school senior portraits since we photographed his older brother a couple years ago and have also done family portraits for them! Clay was in for a quick yearbook session in the fall and then just recently had his full session. We were at the junkyard, downtown Colorado Springs, and in Manitou Springs during his session.

We’re excited to share a little more than just our favorite images from his session with you because his mom took pictures of the setting they were in for some of his portraits. We’re going to share a few of her pictures so that you can have a little “behind the scene” view before seeing the image that Jon captured there. Before Natalie and Tyler arrived into our family (and therefore, also our family business!) I used to accompany Jon and assist at every session. These pictures from Clay’s mom are so fun to me because I used to be at all these sessions and look at the exact same thing, but never ceased to be amazed at how differently, creatively, and artistically that Jon saw that same setting. So enjoy getting a sense of how Jon “sees” when he photographs. He truly has an eye for seeing beauty and using the ordinary around him to create stunning portraits!

The Webster Family | Family Portraits at Monument Valley Park

The Webster Family knew about us already, so when our Groupon deal ran, they were really excited to buy it for a session for their family! They chose Monument Valley Park for their session, and we have really loved getting to know and photograph this close, fun-loving, full-of-life family! I can only hope that our Natalie and Tyler will be best of friends as these brother clearly are. Enjoy our favorites from their session…
