We are Jonathan and Lindsay...a husband and wife team that has expanded to include our daughter, Natalie, and our son, Tyler. We have been serving the Colorado Springs and Front Range areas since moving from St. Louis in 2006.
Our photography business reflects much of ourselves. We love people, and it's such a blessing to meet and serve our couples and families and be invited into incredibly special moments in their lives. We love that we have clients that have become friends and friends that have become clients. We love the outdoors, and the majority of our sessions happen in God's studio...the beautiful natural places surrounding us. We love to travel, and whether it's traveling for a job or for ourselves, we love bringing our love for photography and capturing our memories in new places. God has truly blessed us.
Our lives forever changed in October 2015 with the discovery of brain cancer in our son, Tyler. We could not be more proud of his battle - he exuded joy, positivity, strength, courage, and a faith beyond his years. During the year of battling cancer, Tyler initially finished a first treatment plan of chemotherapy and 30 radiation treatments. We thought we were done with cancer in May of 2016. Just four, short weeks later, a new set of symptoms brought the discovery of new tumors on Tyler's spine. We spent the summer in the hospital, recovering from emergency spinal surgery, receiving rehabiliation services and education for the waist-down paralysis, and entering a new and very scary treatment plan. We were able to come home for most of August, and Tyler started first grade in his wheelchair. A smile was always on his face; he loved life and lived big. In September 2016, scans revealed what we already feared - the cancer had returned to his brain. We were out of treatment options. We came home and enjoyed two more really special and wonderful weeks before he slipped into a coma. God chose to heal him with a perfect, eternal healing, and on October 7th, 2016, he claimed his victory over cancer. We miss him terribly. Yet we move forward with hope and in the confidence that we will see him again.
Our family's journey has brought even more depth to the importance of the photography we provide to each of our client families. People are precious; our relationships, milestones, and memories are worth capturing. None of us know the number of days we have together in this life, and it is the photographs we have to connect us with our loved ones, both those still here to hug and hold and those we miss dearly. We are honored to invest our days creating legacy for families and to know that what we do will outlive us. Our photography serves both the present and the future generations to come.

Kiara loves science, space exploration, and anything from the world of science fiction and technology. She’s quite intelligent and sees herself pursuing physics engineering to lead to jobs potentially with the FBI or NASA. When not studying, you can find her boxing or playing video games.
Kiara loved a more urban setting that would give her backgrounds of graffiti and weathered textures and colors, so we helped match her to Old Colorado City for her photography location.
Kiara, we’re excited for you to finish high school with excellence and shine in all your next steps!
As with so many families, the Brescia Family knew their oldest son’s senior year presented an important time to not only commemorate his life milestone but also celebrate their whole family. We love helping each family build the ideal combination of sessions, and we offer a variety of options to meet each family’s individual needs and preferences. For the Brescia Family, their family photography was the focus, and they were excited for wall art and finished art prints that captured their close family relationships and Colorado beauty.
For this active, close-knit family, Garden of the Gods became the perfect setting for both senior and family portraits.
Enjoy favorites from their September photography session!
We are absolutely honored to be telling the story of Kinzie’s life for this family! We first captured Kinzie’s newborn portraits and have since been invited to capture her milestones as she turned one, two, and now three. Kinzie is energetic, talkative, and adorable – even when she’s giving her parents the “gifts” that strong-willed, first born children bear. 🙂 Her bright personality shines through in every session we’ve photographed.
We photographed this session at Red Rock Canyon, and as the session was ending, Jon and this family were literally trying to outrun the storm that quickly rolled in. Thankfully, the session was already complete when the rains came, but as the saying goes, “When life brings you lemons…make lemonade!” As you can see, the rain puddles made for a playful, fun end to the session and the creation of some priceless portraits! Kinzie calls puddles “stompers” ’cause that’s exactly what kids love to do…stomp through those puddles!
Molly is a high school senior who’s described as loyal, intelligent, compassionate, and fun-loving. She’s active in youth group at Woodmen Valley Chapel, and WVC is our church home too. She’s excited to have been able to take her faith internationally on mission trips with the youth group.
In school at ECA, Molly is active in theater and choir and loves to read. In the community, she volunteers with serving kids both in the church nursery and as a volunteer with the Pikes Peak Library District.
As she completes high school and looks ahead to her future, Molly plans on pursuing an English degree as the first step in a career as a librarian for children’s literature.
Molly chose to combine our one-hour Senior Session with a mini-session in order to have a small number of outdoor, natural setting portraits alongside the main location of Woodmen Valley Chapel’s 1979 Coffee House. It was a perfect combination for her, and we’re excited to share favorites with you!
We have truly enjoyed getting to know Anna and her family throughout their experience with us for senior photography.
Anna is an intelligent and compassionate high school senior who adores animals and has a self-described “zoo” in the home – they care for everything from reptiles to kittens! Anna also plays guitar, is fluent in American Sign Language, loves vintage items and styles, and is a member of National Honor Society.
With her love for animals, Anna has her sights set on a career in veterinary medicine and has been excited for the college coursework in zoo-keeping she’s been studying during this last year of high school. She has the perfect heart and passion for these pursuits!
Anna matched best with our most-popular Senior Session, and Red Rock Canyon was a perfect setting for her senior pictures. As we mentioned already, Anna loves animals. Wolves are her absolute favorite. To everyone’s amazement, as her photography session was ending, an owner of wolves arrived and acquiesced to Jon’s request to have an opportunity to photograph Anna with the wolves. It was an awesome, serendipitous ending to an already fun and beautiful session.
